Under business immigration programs, applicants are selected based on their ability to create employment for themselves and other Canadians. There are 3 categories of business immigration.
Self-Employed Persons
Applicants under this category must be self-employed and must have the plan and ability to become economically established in Canada (athletes, coaches, singers, actors, photographers, videographers are some of the categories that come under this program).
Key Requirements:
- Must obtain a minimum of 35/100 points.
- Must have 2 years of relevant experience in self-employment in cultural activities or athletics.
- Must have a business plan and capability to become self-employed in Canada in the selected field.
- Must show proof of settlement funds.
